SUMMARY:JCS Bike for Heroes
DESCRIPTION:Come join us and tour the flat farmlands of the Mississippi valley heading south out of Columbia\, Illinois with views of the bluffs as we support our adopted Heroes. Registration opens at 6:00 A.M. with a group start at 7:00 A.M. \nThe JCS Bike for Heroes ride offers five different routes in distances of 10 miles\, 25 miles\, 50 miles\, 80 miles\, and 100 miles. There will be several rest stops with snacks\, drinks\, and facilities available for your convenience. On the 25 and 50 mile routes\, you will travel the flat farmlands and enjoy views of the Missouri and Illinois river bluffs. The 80 and 100 mile routes extend through Prairie Du Rocher\, Illinois where you will ride alongside bluffs and pass Fort De Chartres. Built in 1753\, this site marks the location of the last of four successive French forts built during the colonization of the Illinois Country. \nIf you are unable to attend the event\, but want to support an individual or team\, or just want to make a donation to JCS click on the link below. DESCRIPTION:Join us on August 16\, 2025 in Waynesville\, MO for the 6th annual BAD DAWG Ultra Endurance Run. This no-frills 100/50/100k/50k race and 12 mile run/ruck is the perfect event for first-timers and those people who love running for a purpose. And the purpose is this… to provide a new pair of shoes to every Elementary student in our Title 1 School Districts as part of the OneSolePurpose project (check out onesolepurpose.com) This out-and-back course (10 mile loop) will give you a few rolling hills and lots of flat gravel with tree-lined country views. This is a great race for those first-time ultra runners!!\nThis is an event put on by ultrarunners for ultrarunners\, so you know we will treat you good!\nThere will be Overall Male and Female Awards for all distances. 100 Mile\, 100k\, 50 mile\, and 50k Finishers will receive a custom belt buckle and bumper sticker! All 12 mile runners will receive a one-of-a-kind medal and all 12 mile ruckers will receive a one-of-a-kind patch!

DESCRIPTION:The Busey Bank Edwardsville Rotary Criterium is a series of high-speed professional and amateur bicycle races complimented by a running event\, free kid’s races\, a kid’s zone with an art tent\, an entertainment zone complete with live music\, food and beverages\, and an open container perimeter\, all on the streets of Downtown Edwardsville. \nThis unique signature event has been hosted by the Edwardsville Rotary Club since 2010 as a fund-raiser for community enhancing projects and as a gift to the people in the Edwardsville area. Because Edwardsville is a bicycling and running city that loves big events and opportunities to show off our Downtown\, the Criterium is a perfect fit. \nEvent sanctioned by the USA Cycling Association.
