DESCRIPTION:This is a unique road ultra on a beautiful course\, following the Mississippi River\, as you run through the historic American Bottom. Race headquarters is in Columbia\, Illinois just outside of St. Louis\, Missouri. The race offers a 110 mile and a 55 mile option. \nThe course will loosely follow the American Discovery Trail and the Kaskaskia – Cahokia Trail (Illinois’ first road). You’ll watch the sun rise over the Illinois bluffs while running on levees and deserted backroads\, from Columbia to the confluence of the Kaskaskia and Mississippi Rivers. You’ll make your way through many historic sites\, including Piggott’s Fort\, Fort de Chartres\, and the town of Prairie du Rocher. \nThis is a flat and fast course with generous cut off times\, plenty of aid stations\, and a friendly atmosphere. It will make a great first hundred miler\, or a chance for you to set a new personal record at this distance. So\, if you’re interested in a no frills ultra with a low entry fee\, then come test yourself this spring in the American Bottom.

This ‘almost a circuit’ race course features an uphill finish and several technical turns. \nRace #3\, The Mike Murray Classic Criterium is set in St. Louis’ famous Forest Park and features a course that swings by the St. Louis History Museum and Municipal Opera. When : April 04\, 2026 6K run & 1.7 mile WTF (Walk The Forest) start time 9:30am\, Half Marathon start time 8 a.m.. Rain or Shine\nWhere: Wolf Creek Trail\, Poplar Bluff\, Mo.\, is .60 mile north of the Highway Patrol Station. It’s off the outer road on Forestry Road 3107 (also labeled County Road 429 on some maps). As soon as you get on the Forestry road\, the Trail Head is on the right.\nCost*: $35 (6K) run & 1.7 mile walk\, $40 (Half Marathon). Add $5 to each if you register the day of the race at the trailhead. Age groups: Men & Women 18yrs old and under\, 19-35\, 36-50\,51+\n*Cost includes T shirt and medals* for top two runners in each age division for 6K (male & female)\, top male & female half runners and EACH finisher in half marathon. All runners/walkers will get a T shirt\, however to be guaranteed a T shirt ON RACE DAY you must register by March 30th. AND RESPOND TO SHIRT SIZE (MEN’S & WOMEN’S SIZES) on this website.
